BEGINNER SERIES (Beginners) -- This course welcomes anyone who is new to yoga, or for those returning to practice after time away, recuperating from an injury, or just want to reinforce the basics of your practice this Beginner Series will benefit you. You will learn learn a detailed understanding of the architecture of the poses, as well as the underlying philosophy of the yoga practice. CHAIR YOGA (Beginners) -- This unique yoga style adapts yoga positions through creative use of the chair. The student is able to warm up the body safely and perform yoga poses with more support and stability, inviting awareness and integrity into the body. Most of the class is performed seated in the chair or using the chair as support. The class also focuses on breathing techniques, stretching, strengthening, and meditation.
GENTLE YOGA (Beginners) – If you are looking for yoga that moves slowly and gently; something that can also be very therapeutic to the body; this class is for you. This class uses meditation and movement to calm the body.
GENTLE/RESTORATIVE YOGA (Beginners) -- Open to all levels of practice and abilities, our soothing gentle class focuses on an exploration of basic yoga poses and how to connect them through attention to breathing, alignment and mindfulness. Therapeutic in nature, you will learn techniques to help you gain flexibility, while immersing yourself in a relaxing class that moves at a perfectly slower pace - allowing ample time to enjoy each pose. Expect lots of stretching & lingering in supported seated poses.
HATHA YOGA (Beginners) – This class allows you to grow your practice from the ground up and return to the basic roots of Hatha yoga. The focus is on awareness of body with instruction on proper attention to alignment, transitions and breath.
SLOW FLOW YOGA & MEDITATION (Beginners) -- If you are looking for yoga that moves slowly and gently; something that can also be very therapeutic to the body; this class is for you. This class uses meditation and movement to calm the body. Using the heartfulness way dive right into leading from the heart through transmittion. Meditation helps relieve stress while creating happiness to develop compassion, love and patience.
SLOW FLOW/RESTORATIVE (Beginners) – This class will consist of slow moving ess rigorous flow of sun salutations to lead you into sequences of poses to creating gentle movement to the body concluding with restorative poses to bring physical, mental and emotional relaxation using props.
SLOW FLOW YOGA, Full Scope of Yoga (Beginners) – This class is a fresh perspective on flow. It’s not just about sun salutations. These slow flow classes are designed for all students who feel the urge to move seamlessly from one posture to the next with the grace and ease and the mindfulness of a yogi. Class includes some chanting, pranayama (breath work), asana (yoga poses) and finished with a restorative at the end of class. Suitable for all levels of practice.
FUNCTIONAL YOGA (Beginners) -- Learn to activate and engage the key components of the body required for healthy functional movement. Develop strength and stability to support a joyful physical practice.
FUNCTIONAL FLOW (Beginners/Intermediate) -- Learn to activate and engage the key components of the body required for healthy functional movement. Develop strength and stability to support a joyful physical practice.
HATHA FLOW (Beginners/Intermedate) -- This class is a continuation of Hatha Yoga principles and will focus on awareness of body with instruction on proper attention to alignment, transitions and breath. Linking the postures practiced in a regular Hatha class into a sequence of movements that “flow” with the breath. Modifications are offered if you are just getting started.
JIVAMUKTI YOGA (Beginners/Intermediate) – Jivmukti isa physical ethical, and spiritual practice, combining a vigorous hath yoga, vinyasa-based physical with adherence to five central tenents: sharstra (scripture), bhakti (devotion), ahimsa (nonviolence, non-harming), nāda (music) and dhyana (meditation).
VINYASA MIXED LEVEL (Beginners/Intermediate) -- This Mixed Level practice is recommended for people who have had yoga experience. A flowing series of postures leading you into sequences of challenging poses creating heat in the body, with a heavy emphasis on standing postures and a cardio influence.
ASHTANGA VINYASA YOGA (Intermediate/Advanced) – This yoga is a 5,000 year set sequence of postures designed to bring incredible strength, flexibility and endurance to the body while bringing a sense of stillness to the mind. This strong class teaches the fundamentals of Ashtanga yoga: sun salutations, ujjayi breath, energy locks and vinyasas to prepare you for the full primary series.
**HOT** VINYASA Mixed Level (Intermediate/Advanced) – Enjoy an energetic heated Vinyasa style yoga class that uses a flowing series of postures to create heat within the body as you increase strength, flexibility, endurance and balance in a heated room. Room temperature is 95 degrees and above. Inversions and arm balances will be giving as an option in this class.
VINYASA POWER (Intermediate/Advanced) This challenging practice is recommended for people who have had a solid yoga practice foundation. A flowing series of postures leading you into sequences of challenging poses creating heat in the body, with a strong emphasis on cardio to create internal heat. Inversions and arm balances will be giving as an option in this class.
Meditation & Wellness
HEARTFULNESS MEDITATION (All Levels) – Heartfulness Meditation can help you to live a heart-centered life, manage your emotions, and find inner peace and balance. Transmission-aided meditation is the specialty of Heartfulness. Transmission is an active catalyst for transformation. Certified Heartfulness Trainers lead a guided relaxation followed by a meditation. You will learn tools to help integrate meditation into your life and there will be time for questions and reflections in the group. Trainers are also available for private sessions one-on-one, in small groups or at your organization by appointment. Heartfulness meditation is always free of cost.
GUIDED MEDITATION (Beginners) – You will be guided through meditative techniques such as breath work, concentration, visualizations and deep relaxation. Meditation helps relieve stress while creating happiness to develop compassion, love and patience. Free of cost.
PRATYAHARA GUIDED MEDITATION (Beginners) – The state of Dhyana (meditation) occurs as a result of practicing Pratyahara (sense control) and Dharana (concetration). It is only when the mind can stay steady on one point, that true meditation is achieved. Free of cost.
REIKI – Private sessions available. Reiki is an energy healing practice that is usually done by placing the hands in a series of positions over or slightly above the body. Reiki promotes healing by activating the relaxation response and helping the body to balance itself from a very deep level. Call or email for an appointment with one of our Reiki Masters.
